As was previously announced, Holabird & Root has been chosen to create the master plan for the renovation and expansion of Monroe Hall on the campus of Loyola University New Orleans, in Louisiana. The decision comes at the end of a nationwide search where 30 firms were initially solicited, of which 20 responded. Holabird & Root was among six finalists chosen to present a two-hour presentation to the Monroe Hall search committee. The Monroe Hall project proposes a complete interior and exterior renovation of the largest academic building on the Loyola University campus. The building currently houses a diverse collection of academic departments and science labs, along with a performance venue and nearly half of the general use classrooms on campus.
