[ 3.28.2010 : Third LEED Platinum for Holabird & Root ]

The 23,735-g.s.f King Pavilion addition to the Iowa State University College of Design building was recently awarded LEED Platinum certification, the highest certification possible by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). It is also the first higher education building in Iowa to achieve LEED Platinum status. Holabird & Root provided the MEP engineering for the facility, which was designed by RDG Planning & Design.

The King Pavilion is one of only eight LEED-NC Platinum buildings in higher education at public institutions in the United States. This is the third LEED Platinum certification for Holabird & Root; Beloit College's Center for Sciences and St. Olaf's Regents Hall of Natural and Mathematical Sciences were also awarded LEED Platinum certification.
