Holabird & Root has designed a series of buildings for Grinnell College, including both phases of their Noyce Science Center. In Phase I, the existing building was completely renovated and a wraparound addition gave it a fresh new face to the surrounding campus. The 155,000-s.f. project provided sophisticated research laboratories and instructional and office space. Phase II has recently finished construction and provides a new, 110,000-s.f. facility for the Natural Sciences and the Mathematics/Computer Science departments.
