UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO REVA AND DAVID LOGAN CENTER FOR CREATIVE & PERFORMING ARTS

With Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects leading the design of the project, Holabird & Root served as the Associate Architect on the University of Chicago’s Reva & David Logan Center for the Arts, designed to serve as a first-rate arts center for the University and community at large.

Holabird & Root primarily focused on the design of the building’s performance spaces and led the interior design of the project.

The Arts Center includes the following performance venues: A large performance auditorium, black box theater, large recital space, multiple music studios and practice rooms, box office, ticket booth and kiosk, dressing rooms, green room, control room, prep areas, and film archive storage.

Spaces for the large-scale construction of art installations and theater set designs support the arts programs. Visual art studios provide spaces for painting, sculpture, and drawing classes. A café, gallery, multiple exhibition spaces, lobby, informal gathering spaces, storage, and offices are also included.
