Kyla has grown alongside Holabird & Root for more than two decades. She joined the firm as a file clerk after beginning her career on the construction side of the industry at a door and hardware company, and through years of curiosity and steady growth, worked her way to Business & HR Manager. The journey has given her an uncommon understanding of how an architecture practice operates — from financial systems to the people who make them work.

While numbers and organization are central to her role, Kyla finds the greatest fulfillment in the human side of the business. As the firm's HR and Business Manager, she helps employees navigate everything from benefits and payroll to life's inevitable transitions. She enjoys being a resource, an advocate, and often a trusted sounding board, especially for younger staff just beginning their careers. Around the office, she has naturally become a steady, maternal presence.

The values that guide Kyla at work are the same ones that have led her at home; as a working mother who balanced raising a family, continuing her education, and building a career, she has always hoped to show her children that dedication and compassion are not competing priorities.
