The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) is a professional organization that represents over 9,000 oral and maxillofacial surgeons. “The mission of AAOMS is to assure excellence in patient care by advancing, promoting and preserving the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery, and the skill and professionalism of AAOMS members”. To further this mission, AAOMS commissioned Holabird & Root to develop a program and design to provide on-site continuing education and meeting facilities. Additionally, a new visitor seating area and revamped boardroom were designed to meet the growing needs of AAOMS.

Holabird & Root, after renovating the main offices for AAOMS a few years prior, delivered a 5,200 SF training facility with a simulations lab, arrival lobby, check-in, and technological infrastructure to run in-house simulation programs for both AAOMS members and external clientele. There is a kitchenette and dining space next to a 100-occupant pre-and post-ops learning center for AAOMS lectures, meetings and events.
